Track 19 is done (finally)!
What I have learned doing this track is that it's probably a good idea to listen to a song a bunch of times before publishing it. Indeed, a pattern sequence that may sound good one day might not be so pleasing the next (usually the day after the song was uploaded to youtube).
For the next track, I will probably dive feet first into the wonderful world of covers, since inspiration is fading away fast.

ReplyDeleteThe problem with listening to your stuff too much is that you get the opposite problem.. you never upload anything. Which is the case with me, nothing ever sounds good enough after enough listens.
ReplyDeleteif you have a "good" hook (melodic phrase), the song is gonna be decent. it's just a matter of arranging the fluff around the hook. if you listen to your creation, and you feel the hook is well established without being repetitive and everything flows, then it's time to upload. it'd be nice to have a producer for arranging everything but it's just youtube we're talking about.
